The Question of the Week
Biomes are regions of the world that are grouped together based on shared/similar climate characteristics. Why is it important to separate environments into categories? What information or help do these groups provide?
The Jackalopes' Science blog is another step in the incorporation of technology into the education of Jackalopes' students at Rochester Middle School. This website will be a place that students can turn to for additional topic links, in-depth Science discussion, sharing of project/research ideas, and general posting of science questions that arise as our students explore the natural world.

It is important because some of the weather if it is mixed could cause bad things to happen

It is important to seperate environments because if the weather was all hot then the polar caps would eventually melt and the land masses would be minimum to gone because of flooding.
The different groups help us to know what grows there or how things can grow there and the animals that are there. Also it helps us to know if it would be a safe place to go to and live or vitit. . . and the different groups tell us about the weather and physical characteristics.

I think that it is important because different animals and plants live in different biomes. So sepparating them into catagories will help people know what types of plant or animal live in a certain biome.
